I painted three rooms in my house this fall (living room, dining room and sewing/weaving room). It was a big project and I didn’t always finish what I planned each day. When I had to quit before I was finished with a brush or a roller I wrapped it tightly in a plastic bag, carefully squeezing out the air bubbles. Voila! The brush or roller was still fresh and useful the next day when I was ready to continue.
Easily place, remove and replace screws
A bit of soap on any screw before you put it in place will help not only to seat it, but also to unseat it should the need arise. Simply scrape the threads of the screw over the edge of a bar of soap and proceed.
This works whether you are working with wood, glass, plastic or metal.
